Linee di ricerca:
I ricercatori afferenti al settore ICAR/09 dell’Università della Basilicata sviluppano la propria attività di ricerca nell’ambito delle seguenti aree, spesso in cooperazione con altri settori scientifici e con altre strutture di ricerca in ambito nazionale ed internazionale:

  • Studio del comportamento dinamico non lineare di strutture in cemento armato, in muratura ed in legno soggette ad azioni sismiche, attraverso la formulazione di modelli teorici, simulazioni numeriche non lineari e sperimentazioni su modelli in scala ridotta condotte tramite prove cicliche, prove su tavola vibrante e prove pseudo dinamiche;
  • valutazione della vulnerabilità sismica di edifici e ponti in cemento armato, sia attraverso metodi statistici che meccanici basati su procedure di progettazione simulata per applicazioni su larga scala e su singole strutture e relativo confronto con valutazioni ottenute tramite metodi predittivi analitici o numerici;
  • analisi e definizione di strategie di mitigazione del rischio sismico sia attraverso la predisposizione di scenari di danno e di conseguenze attese che di mappe di rischio sismico sull’edilizia corrente, strategica (ospedali) ed a rischio rilevante in caso di collasso sismico (scuole);
  • sperimentazione di materiali strutturali e non, sviluppo e valutazione dell’efficacia di tecniche di rinforzo sismico a basso danneggiamento (es. Isolamento sismico o dissipazione di energia) o integrate per il miglioramento sismico-energetico degli edifici finalizzato ad una maggiore sostenibilità ambientale e sociale.
  • monitoraggio e la diagnostica strutturale sia per la stima delle proprietà meccaniche dei materiali in-situ che per l’individuazione delle caratteristiche dinamiche strutturali, del danno e della sua evoluzione nel tempo, mediante interpretazione di dati accelerometrici.
  • Verifica di coerenza dei metodi di analisi previsti nei codici italiani ed europei per la verifica di sicurezza delle strutture in cemento armato;
  • valutazione della durabilità di strutture in cemento armato, in special modo da ponte, tramite approcci meccano-chimici agli elementi finiti per la previsione dell’innesco e della propagazione della corrosione delle armature.
